It's awful right now!!!Except the ragweed, OMG. It's so thick!
I did see a hummingbird this afternoon.
I need to change the feeder out again.

WOW - raw cider sounds amazing! Definitely lie to yourself. You are just running a test batch. Nothing more....Just finished experimenting with making apple cider. It was going to be a test run but once I made that ‘clean spot’ I was all in and ended up with three gallons of raw, nothing added, cider. A guesstimate, given all the apples this year, is that we could probably make about 12 to 15 gallons. But only if I lie and tell myself I’m just going to run a test batch.
I can only grow cucumbers from November to March; it doesn't snow in the tropics where I live. May through October is too scorching hot.I’m pretty sure my cucumbers are on their way out. Disappointing since I only got about a cucumber and a half off of them, but I don’t think I can blame the variety (Marketmore) given how rough the early season was. I think I’ll give them another shot before I try something else.
YeppersI agree with this lady about how to raise roosters.
You were asking about a press earlier. I guess you got one, huh? How did you crush/grind the apples?Just finished experimenting with making apple cider. No I didn’t. Because this was suppose to be a test batch I used my food processor to grind them down and used the old flour sack twist and squeeze routine. Worked surprisingly well but still think I’ll get a press and grinder. You were asking about a press earlier. I guess you got one, huh? How did you crush/grind the apples?
I just dug my old fruit press out of the shop. I remember thinking it was cool sitting in my grandpa's cellar when I was a kid, and 50 years later it was mine. Used it once, need to clean it up and use it again. No I didn’t.
