I actually have a game fowl/brown leghorn rooster that is pretty protective of his flock. Anytime anyone or animals gets close to the yard he warns everyone. On occasion he has tried to spur me when I try to pick up a hen. I know it might be a crap shoot to find one but I can tell ya they'll...
He is about 8 months old and the hens are a little over 1yr. I only left the hen in there for about 5 mins in fear of the fighting might mess him up. It's just weird, I have thrown older hens out to my younger stag rooster and he jumps right on them with his wing dance. Not the case with this...
So I'm trying to get three older D'anver hens to accept a young D'anver rooster. The older hens where with a rooster before but he died from being sick. So I'm trying to replace the rooster but the hens ain't having it by fighting him. I have a mixed flock who free ranges so I'm familiar with...

I went with Ideal hatchery and by passed California hatchery. Cheaper shipping and rediculous that I can't do a walk in order only living 2 hrs away. Doesn't seem to business friendly to me.
I assume it might be awhile since she had it. I recently removed some bumblefoot from her feet. But even after doing that she still hopped on one foot and I couldn't figure out way. But now I see, **** only if I saw it sooner. I will quarintine her and do what you recommended, thnx.
I would be willing to take them but I'm in Tehachapi. I have a flock of 40 plus birds that free range and five of them are Americauna, they would fit right in.
If possible, get a couple as hatchlings and they will be there own flock growing up. If your wanting them for a specific need, I'll give some details on what breed to get if you want.
