The fans work very well in these units. The problem is nothing more than isolation grommets which do not exist for them and this makes the lid a soundboard for the fan. You can try to find or make grommets or just replace the fan with one from an old desktop pc that is not used/working anymore...
What I learned is that this is a mutation so almost anything is certainly possible. To get a "breed" it has to breed true all the time. Mutations on the other hand can and do carry previous genes which can pop up every so often depending on how they are expressed. So, you cull, for standard...
There is a bunch of people saying this kind of sand is better than that kind of sand..they even believe sand is made by crushing rocks. Sorry to be the bringer of the truth..SAND is not dangerous (unless you are buried to your neck in it and the tide comes in, or you are digging a tunnel in a...
they will starve to death with 18% feed..Get 24% or better. Best to get 28 or 30 if you can. Add the acv to the water and I add a couple drops of liquid bird vit just to get them going good..I do not use the medicated feeds.
Clove powder is good to stop bleeding and is antimicrobial a little so keeps issues down. But, I thought it mentioned spurs in the title. Did I miss that part. I saw a video how a judge grabs and twists them off and you have to stop the bleeding then
wind power is good sometimes in SoCal..when the Santa Annas blow, it would devastate your structures I'm thinking. I remember seeing many uprooted trees when I was a child in the San Fernando valley. Drilling there can be a challenge though. Your looking at a variety of soil and rock types there...
there are many ways to put a well in, hand digging one is hard an dangerous. Hand augering is also possible but finding the equipment could be a challenge. The best DIY options are the deep rock home well rig which run S10-12k, the DIY kit from the website I posted for under $600 but lacks the...
I take the 1 gallon milk jugs and cut out one of the round indents they mold into them and use them for oyster shell and grit mounted close to the floor of the coop so the birds cn stick their head in and get the shell. Keeps the material from getting spread all over and lose in the floor mess.
I have 4 Chinese geese for sale. $60 for all 4. I cannot ship these animals, it would be just too expensive and you can always find them for good prices.
Thanks
Hand augering is ok, had a friend who grew up in Cuba, he and two brothers hand augered down to almost 3oo ft when they were young men. Even in soft soil that would be rough. Shallow wells are ok, but unless you get some volume you can run them dry easily. That's what I want to do is deepen a...
One of my hens has been laying and so I have been incubating the eggs. I've had 9 hatch over the last 3 weeks so far and just set 7 eggs today. I have a brinsea but the idea will be the same. Turn them as suggested, keep your water close to the heat elements, no need to do any more than place...
How did you do? does it drill good? Did you buy the kit new from the DIY Well Drilling site (http://howtodrillawell.com/).
Was it worth it? How much does the compressor cost to rent?
I have 5 African Geese, two mated adults 1 1/2 years old and 3 goslings (7 month, and 3 month old). The youngest goslings were hatched by the geese, the other hatched in my incubator but from the same adult pair. $75 for all 5 geese.
I also have a pair of Peking ducks, drake and hen $25.00 for...
One person I've read elsewhere I think, marked his own property stating the dogs marking his property din't stop them but his own scent did. So, make some tea and walk your property line when no one can see you.
Also, try getting some one with beagles out to do some tracking and chasing.
