No to all the symptoms you mentioned. Stools are normal. Thanks for the suggestion about the necropsy. I will do that. I'm also reaching out to the seller to ask her if she's seen this before. We've treated for Coccidia twice before and haven't seen any signs of it since then. It wasn't even...
I have young Black Copper Marans. I started with a total of 20 all hatched this summer. One is from Omega Hills, 5 are from Greenfire Farms and the remaining 14 came from a breeder on eBay. The group from eBay hatched 8/5/20. When they were 9 weeks old I lost one of the pullets. A few days...
Nothing we can see. Her feet aren't swollen. Even the bottom of her feet look fine. It's just one leg (the right leg) that seems to be causing her trouble. When she tries to stand it begins shaking and appears to cause her pain because she doesn't want to put weight on it. However, when we pick...
I have a 14 week old Bielefelder pullet who started limping last Thursday. We separated her that evening and have kept her separate since then. She eats and drinks but is barely walking. I have to put her next to the food and water if she stumbles too far away from it. We have been able to...
She is doing amazing! She's eating practically every time I check on her. She seems happy to see me. She ate all of the scrambled egg that I gave her and I can tell she's been drinking water and have watched her eating her crumble. Still not using a lot of energy moving around but that's okay...
I considered that too. She was VERY COLD when I found her. She shivered for about 3 or 4 hours after I brought her in and held her to my chest. As a precaution, I added a heat lamp to the coop for the rest of them as it got down to 34 degrees last night.
@chooksman @kcrandall
I will keep this in mind going forward. Thank you both for your advice. Little Diana continues to eat, drink and respond to my voice with chirping. I can't express how over the moon happy this makes me!
Her droppings look completely normal. No eggs yet (she's just 5 1/2 weeks old) and no visible injuries that I found. The entire flock has been on Corid for the past eight days because we noticed blood in stool from one of our other flocks.
I just took this picture! She's eating and drinking...
She's standing up!!!! I'm so happy to see her stand! I do give them ACV on a regular basis. Right now, it's just the medicated water with Corid. I'll ofer her some more eggs and see if she'll eat.
Update:
We are now about 40 hours past finding her. She's still holding on. Last night I managed to drop a little bit of Nutri-drench on her beak. It was just a drop but she seemed to take it. This morning she's been opening her eyes, chirping a little, and responding to me. Right now she is...
I do not feed a medicated food. However, the entire flock is currently being treated with Corid as a precaution because we found blood in stool of one bird in another of our coops. They are 8 days into the treatment. Regarding the Marans, they have not displayed any symptoms. Stools have all...
I found one of my BCM pullets last night when I went to shut up the coop. She was laying on her side, eyes closed, barely breathing. She offered no resistance at all when I picked her up. I brought her in the house, held her against my chest and wrapped her up like that till about 2 this...

Jumping in here with a similar situation. I'm fairly sure it's not due to poor diet. Here it is...
I purchased 5 Silverudd Blues from Greenfire hatch date was July 13th. Two of them died within the first 3 days. Of the three remaining, two of them lagged behind in growth and at four weeks old...
One of my four and a half week old cockerels is crowing! :lau He sounds broken but it's so cute! (yes... I'm a total newbie)
Also, @Chooks man , so far, your "guesses" as to gender are right on target. The few that you didn't indicate, I guessed at and somehow, we both managed to be correct...

The posts are on Facebook. Yes, they are little giant. I don't know if it's allowed here or not to post links to outside sites so I won't. I can guide you to the youtube video that inspired this build. In it, they build one with just two levels instead of three. If you want my spec...
