    I would personally never do this, weenie that I am, I deal with enough human poo at work (RN), thankyouverymuch! When I was a kid though, we used to go to a cabin owned my my mom's (then) boyfriend's family that had a composting toilet. It did not stink.

    Sweetie broke off the tip of her beak! Should I "manicure" the sharp edges?

    My chicken had the exact same "w" shaped chicp in her beak. Within just a couple of days of free ranging per usual, it had flattened out, and now, several weeks later, the top, which was chipped, has grown some, and the bottom, which was not, has worn down wnough that her beak is back to normal.
