    Bantams in West Georgia/East Alabama

Anybody on here have or know where I can get some bantams in the West Georgia/East Alabama area? I'm not dead set on any particular breed, I'm just looking around. Chicks or young adults are fine. Thanks in advance!

    Questions about Red Sex Links

Here is a picture of one of them. Now I'm no chicken genius, but that looks like a rooster to me. Unless I'm mistaken, this isn't a red sex link rooster.

    Questions about Red Sex Links

Well It does make me feel better because none of mine have any white at all. But they sure do have big combs and wattles though. Normally I can tell by their neck feathers but for some reason I'm not very confident lol. Thanks for the help!

    Questions about Red Sex Links

I thought it was odd too! But I took a chance and got the ones I thought were pullets. All of mind are a pretty rich red with a little black on their neck with very little or no white. I'm hoping the difference in comb development is just a difference in age. Hopefully my gamble paid off! lol...

    Questions about Red Sex Links

I picked up some red sex links from TSC a while back . They were selling them as straight run so after some quick research, I picked out the darkest ones. I do realize that the chicks are likely all different ages but I noticed that some of the chicks had bigger combs and wattles than the rest...

    Treating mites

Well it was by accident really. He had something tangled on his leg so I picked him up and as I had him on his back taking the string off his leg I noticed the mites then.

    Treating mites

I discovered today that my rooster has mites. I've read several places that talk about using 5% Sevin dust but I had a question. Do I need to throw the eggs away after treatment and if so for how long? Thanks in advance for the help!

    Wish me luck!!!!

It all started a while back. I was on vacation and had asked my mother in law to come by and check on the chickens and get the eggs for me. She told me that I had a hen setting and asked if I wanted her to take the eggs. Without thinking I told her to just leave her and I'd take care of it when...

    Johnathan Ward

I'm looking for a Dominique rooster. I would take two or three if I had to but I only really need one. I have hens but no rooster. He doesn't have to be show quality but if he is that's great too. I'm in the north west Georgia area but don't mind traveling a little either.

Not sure if this is the right place

But I have a question about the B/S/T section. I see how to post something for sale, but where do I post that I want to buy something? I know this may be a really stupid question but I haven't been on here in a really long time so I'm not really that familiar with that section. Any help would be...

Proper ventilation for Peach State coops....

I currently have a coop that has served me well over the last 4 or 5 years but I'm going to be building a new one soon. That being said, I want to make sure the ventilation is right. Now I've read the article on here by patandchickens (which is great by the way!!) but from what I gather it was...

    Question about diatomaceous earth

Is DE all it's cracked up to be? I mean I've heard that it is the best thing since sliced bread. Everything from killing mites to de-worming to cake receipts. I don't know, it just seems too good to be true! My flock has mites, for the first time in 8 years of raising chickens, and I'm looking...
