I'm bored here too. It is a beautiful day but hot, in the upper 80's. I'm just blah blah blah.
Going camping on friday for a week with just hubby. Can't wait!! I need to get away.
I haven't been in your position before but do have an idea of what to do with the extra eggs. I would donate them to a food bank, soup kitchen or something like that. You might be able to get a receit and take it off of your taxes. I would also look into state run nursing homes or places like...
Both my boys went into the miltary. They made the decision, not us. We supported them.
Remember, they are living their life. You are living yours. If they did everything I wanted then I would be happy but would they??
It is their life! Would you really deprive them the opporturity of learning...
Great artile. I have had people ask me and now I can answer semi intelligently.
I bought my coop so it will take time to recoop my money but that wasn't why I got the chickens. I wanted fresh eggs.
Thanks for posting this.
My dogs also killed my chickens. I blamed myself, not the dogs. I have 4 dogs, high prey. I bought a better secure coop and run. The coop is in the front yard until the chickens are full grown. The dogs are in the backyard. When the chickens go back in the backyard I am putting the coop and run...
Thank you all so much! I looked on the learning page, never thought to look on FAQ, lol.
I will get grower today and switch them over. Can I use grit instead of oyster shell?
The chickens are outside with a run so I will take the grit away for now.
Thanks again!
BTW ~ it was on chat...
My chicks are 7 weeks old. At 5 weeks I took them off chick crumbles and put them on layer crumbles. I thought that was next.
I was reading something here that was talking about grower pellets, is that what they should be on?
Plus, I got scratch and it was only 2 grains: corn and oatmeal...
I made it through the weekend. My 24yo son died a year ago last sat, then mothers day.
My wicked mil even sent me flowers.
My hubby and 3 other kids are healthy and alive.
I have to agree with the people who say to talk to your husband. Find a time when you are both feeling good and have time to sit and talk but not judge. Use words like 'I feel... " not "You did this to me ..."
My hubby will be a real jerk one day, when i complain the next day he will say he...
I love our dog park. I take 3 of our dogs, the akita is too dog aggressive so she stays at home. I agree with walking around the perimeter. There are people who go and just sit, not watching their dogs. I always go away from the sitting area, and my dogs follow me.
I also go at times when...
Easttxchick, I have a dog like your doxie, only I got her when she was 2 years old. The best thing I found was to not give her any attention when she was hiding and nervous. Don't pet her and tell her it is ok. When she is good, then give her positive attention. Good luck. It took my lil beagle...
