    Feeling really guilty right now

Don't take them out of their crib when they cry, check on them to see if they are ok and rub their backs. If they start crying again wait another 5 minutes before going in and do the same thing....then 10...etc. Usually works for me for putting babies to 3 year olds to bed.

Do you have state vehicle auctions near you? You could probably pick up a large van/bus thing there.

What thread topic do you get tired of seeing?

Quote: x2 I think people get sick of seeing the threads that would be better as a chat session than a 700 page thread that keeps on bumping chicken/poultry posts down. It's also really frustrating and annoying when they over flow into other threads...I've read a couple that turned into...

Planting my winter garden for my chickens.....

I would grow a bunch of lettuce and spinach too. Also Swiss Chard, which my grandmother in Vermont used to harvest "under snow"...although if you're in Texas you probably won't be getting much snow... For my winter crops I am growing ornamental cabbage, Swiss Chard, lettuce, peas, beans...

Who else is waiting the impossible wait?

Waiting for my leghorns to start laying.... All the other ladies except for 2 stopped laying because it's too hot. They are very fat. Cutting their cracked corn and seeing what happens. They have plenty of shelter and shade and cold water but it's still hot.

    Quitting smoking- need help

Just make sure you don't replace one unhealthy addiction with another. Good luck. I would recommend starting a weight lifting program (as I do for most things) or some other exercise program to help keep you focused on something else plus it releases endorphines A lot of people have...

    Leghorn, but brown egg?

Might be a White Plymouth Rock. White leghorns are pretty scrawny, plymouth rocks are fat. Also leghorns have white earlobes/circles on the side of their face. Other than that they look pretty similar...when we got our white rocks the previous owner told us they were a white leghorn/mix.

Lack of respect in young people today

I also forgot to say that we have a bunch of hooligans "walking home" late at night. One broke into my car and stole my textbooks, my phone, my camera and my wallet. We found everything eventually except for the camera and phone (the wallet was returned to me by someone 3 blocks away who found...

    Dreadlocks

Lighter messy dreadlocks look just like what you said...messy. It looks like you don't care and don't have the self respect to take care of yourself. Either do it "right" or don't do it at all.
