I just calmly put the chicken, or duck into the kill cone before slicing the jugular vein. Nothing really special other then maybe a small snack of corn before entering the kill cone.
Alcohol is a poison, so it's not something I'd go for as a "Calming Agent" for any animal thats gonna get...
If there's inner mouth damage that meets the outside, I would cull as that would be hard to treat properly. If it's just the outer part, then I'd just snip the flap away, as face skin heals back fast within a week, or two as long as it's moistened.
I usually dose 400mg 2 times a day. But they can do so as often as they wish, there's no risk overdosing, since the Vitamin is water soluble.
Since this is one foot that's effected, treatment usually doesn't take too long.
Was he by chance crossed with a Fibro Bird, like Silkie, or Ayam Cemani, or Swedish Black Hen?
If so then it's more then likely pigmented meat from Fibromelanosis.
