Very cool. I did not know about the Deutsches Buschhuhn fowl. What was used to make them?
I'm glad that you're interested in the Deutsches Buschhuhn :)
I don't own them yet, but it looks good that I convinced my chicken mate that I keep our chickens with to get a Deutsches Buschhuhn cock so that we can mix our own survival chickens. Next year, I also wanna buy some hatching eggs near me for natural breeding.
Here's a text I wanna translate for you into English:

"Etwa 1910 erzüchtete Alfred Muntau aus der Nähe von Elbing in Ostpreußen aus Bankiva-, Sonnerat- und Lafayette-Wildhühnern sowie den dortigen Landzwerghühnern ein kleines winterhartes freilebendes Zwerghühnchen und nannte es „Buschhuhn“."

"In about 1910 Alfred Muntau from Elbing in East Prussia breeded from red, grey and Lafayette's junglefowl as well as the landrace bantam chickens from this region a little, winter hardy and free living bantam chicken and called it "Buschhuhn" (bush chicken)."

As I don't wanna read the whole topic:

1: What is your main goal of your breeding program?
2: When do you let your chickens free range? Are there some of them free-ranging already?
3: Did you know that there's a German breed called "Deutsches Buschhuhn" (German bush fowl) that lays green eggs and has been bred for surviving in the wilderness? As I read that you love Easter Eggers, I wanted to remark this breed.

Greetings from Fränkische Schweiz
Main goal is a very hardy free range gamefowl.

Usually I let them out to free range in the morning, & they'd be out until 5pm. Right now they can't be let out to free range currently, not until after we move to our new house though.

Never heard of them actually.
