Thank you for the advice, but I had already flipped the egg over and it had externally piped. I have closed the incubator and temp and humidity stayed constant.
I have eggs in the incubator they were supposed to hatch on Sunday, but yesterday one started to chirp, I can't tell if it's piped yet should I flip the egg over to see?
Thank you, and I already have 4 ducks. I can make the outside as big as needed really as long as I cover it with wire, how do you cover a run that big though?
I'm thinking of building a 18, by 24 coop with a 6 by 6 tack room inside. How many chickens could I have in there along with a goose, a few turkey hens, and a tom, and a few ducks, a couple guineas, and my chickens.
I have 2 broody hens, I put 2 chicks under one of them and 3 under the other, I went out this morning and one chick was dead and one other was being pecked. What did I do wrong can I fix it? I pulled the four chicks from the hens.
The chick passed away I knew the chick was sick by the way it looked and I told the lady at tractor supply, she just said it'll be ok just keep it warm.
I have a chick I got today that's very sick, I believe it's going to pass away, do y'all know what tractor supply's return policy on dead baby chicks? I really wanted a barred rock, she's my only one.
Yea if I had a second growout my chicks that I ordered can go in one, and my broodies in another. I have a solid metal rabbit cage I could grow them out in. Would that work?
Currently I have two chicks almost ready to go outside, I'm getting 6 more on Monday, and I have 2 broody hens on 6 eggs apiece. The problem is I only have 2 coops, my main one and my extra, I use the extra as a growout but I have the Brodies going out there as soon as the chicks hatch, so...
