I am thinking of hatching and selling lemon blue old English game bantams but not sure what to price them at.
I live in southern Oklahoma. What price does everyone get theirs for?
Would love picks of your babies and parents too!!
I know these pics are bad because half her neck feathers are gone but her neck is usually all yellow. But here are some pics of her (Sophia). I want to get a male that is the same breed as her and I want to make sure I get the right breed. When I bought her the guy said she was a lemon blue...
I have quail eggs and chicken eggs in my incubator and planned it so they would hatch on the same day. Today is hatch day and no signs of movement or peeping. This will be my first hatch ever so I'm new at this. The temp was regulating 100-102 until lockdown when I took out egg turner and...
By the look of my coturnix they all seem to be female but I wanted expert quail owners to confirm it!
Also the last two pics are a mix between two quail but I'm not sure which ones, can anybody tell me their guess on which quail it's mixed with. Thank you!
Ok...
Yeah I don't want any of mine getting that! Or any of those diseases. I will move them out today! Also when can I take the headlamp off of my quail? They're about 4 weeks old now but it's been low 50s the past week here where I live.
I heard that as well but some people said they did it so I figured I would give it a try and everything has been good so far! It's been a week or so as they're fine together. (Knock on wood)
Sorry they are all pharaoh cotournix except two. One is Texas a&m white and the other one is mixed between I don't know what breeds. (Here is a pic) I also have 3 chicks in with them.
If I have all cotournix females but one Texas a&m then I add a cotournix male and they both mate with all my pharaoh females will females have mixed breed or half and half? Like half pharaoh and a&m then half just cotournix.
Sorry if this is a stupid question...
She's a new layer and yes they free range! She does lay in a darker more confined space yes and ours are somewhat open... How do I fix this? I'm going to try and leave them in the coop for a few days.
One of my hens (that we thought wasn't laying) is laying outside the coop. How can we get her to lay in the nesting boxes? We took the clutch she layer and put them in a nesting box and took most eggs away but left four so she would sit on them again (she's also broody on them).
Was this the...
Okay thank you
You don't need to delete it, it's not a big deal. There isn't a way for members to do that anyway. It's just almost always faster to answer your questions by searching the archives. There is a lot of very good information in there.
I want to buy around 60 chicks this month then sell them next spring about when they are going to lay eggs. Would it be a good investment or just a waste of money because of food costs to keep them? Should I buy more/less. Anyone's opinions help! Thank you guys.
