I raise NZ blacks. I like black because it is easier to see and pick up the bits and pieces of fur when you are processing them. Plus they are real cute too. I feed mine hay/turnips/other_garden_produce. Only feed a little bit of pellets to nursing does. This way it is a lot cheaper even though...
throw them in the compost before your whole house stinks! Thanks for trying though/

I have a young pair that you may have. I got them from MJ. I love them, but my bantam hen is wanting their heads on a platter! I do not know what color they are... The male is feathering out with black, brown and white. The female is either dark brown and white or black and white...
we live in Oakland twp - between rochester and Lake Orion. I could even drop off once in a while if she is anywhere close to Rochester road or 25 mile. Email me if you are still looking.
I am looking to get 1 or 2 khaki campbell ducks. I will also consider trading them for muscovies or a mated pair of toulouse geese. I am in Oakland county, Michigan, 48363
I am sure they would die in the summer heat. When I had plants shipped to me it was anywhere from 15-25 dollars. it is probably not worth the trouble for you, because the shipping will be more than the plants. Look at the list who is from my area and going to the swap and i'll drop them off for...
I am not going. But if anybody from Oakland/Lapeer is going I could send a few plants with them.

Can you bring some to chickenstock? If you are going that is. I would love to get some.

Would you ship them to the UP and how many do ya have?
They will not make it in this weather. I could ship some in spring at the beginning of April or maybe in fall - but it will be probably too cold up north to plant them in fall.
I have some nice black raspberry plants. If anybody wants some i can sell a few plants for say $2 each.

Those would be black raspberries then. I've heard they're hard to find outside of home-gardens.
I got talked into taking a white call duck name Buddy, so she is buddies with him for now. I guess I will be looking for a female call come nest spring.
Anyway, did you say you have campbell eggs for hatching?

that is because she hatched out with two goslings! she is a silly...
MJ -would you please come to Oakland Twp and tell the chocolate muscovy that she is a duck and should hang our with the ducks! She definitely likes the geese a lot better but they don't want to be anywhere near her. What breed of ducks was she hanging out with? I am already thinking of getting...
MJ - I love those Dels; Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The muscovy is trying to figure out what is going on still.
My white muscovy came to say hello to her, but the chocolate one was not sure about it; so I am just watching her chasing all my geese around. It is pretty funny.
