I use cardboard boxes turned over and cut two holes in them. They also love the dollar store baskets. They feel hidden but can still see out of them. Again, cut two holes so they don't get trapped in case a bully chases them into one.
I would like to experience that. I don't know if I'd want to live in that, though.
The first time I visited the UK I remember it being 11PM and it was still light out in London.
Decorating their pen is something completely up to you. Quail don't really like change much, though, so it's best not to rearrange things too much at any given time.
You only need to clean branches and such if they get too much poop on them. I would hose them off, let them dry, then put them...
I lived for over 50 years over 500 miles south of where I am now. The shortest day is a little over half an hour shorter than I'm used to, and the longest day about half an hour longer.
You may see occasional feathers, but they're too young to be molting. The pecking may be removing a few feathers, but as long as there's no chasing, it's nothing to worry about. If you see the white one pecking and chasing others, then there's a problem. If you are concerned you can remove...
They don't start developing until conditions are right. As long as the egg doesn't get too cold or too hot, they will develop. Fertility starts to decline at about 7 days after they were laid.
Give them some hiding places. It didn't look very violent in the video, though, so it may not be a big issue. Watch to see if feathers start getting pulled out, and definitely separate the bully if there's any blood.
I had to charge the ring for the first time last night. I also figured out that the case it came with to charge the ring has its own battery and doesn't need to be plugged in to charge the ring. This is nowhere in the documentation.
I don't know how many times the case will charge the ring yet.
It will be a challenge to round them up every night. That sounds like a better alternative to letting them get eaten, however. Raccoons will reach through small gaps and pull the birds out piece by piece.
I read about that on a tech forum. They figured that if they make the tools free, people will keep subscriptions to Canva, which is a paid service. It's nice to see a free suite like this.
Please stop asking the same questions over and over again. I know you're hoping for a different answer, but asking again and again is just going to irritate people.
