I know. I am finding it really hard this year. Worse than prior years.I don't know if I'm ever going to get used to sunset being before 5PM. Let alone as early as 4:38PM
I am only well adjusted physically when I am done at my chiropractor. Mentally is another story entirely.I wish I could say that my back isn't sore from all the wood splitting and stacking we did yesterday. (Hubby splits, I stack.)
Thank goodness it's chiropractor appointment day. I hope I can say that my chiropractor "set me straight," literally! As hubby says when I come home, "So are you well adjusted now?"
I lived for over 50 years over 500 miles south of where I am now. The shortest day is a little over half an hour shorter than I'm used to, and the longest day about half an hour longer.I know. I am finding it really hard this year. Worse than prior years.

I would like to experience that. I don't know if I'd want to live in that, though. You need to experience winter in the far north when the sun rises around 9:30am - skims along the horizon, then sets again at 3:30pm.
Of course in the summer it’s still light at midnight
Here it’s dark around 5:30pm now and light around 8am. Dreary miserable time of year, and it’s still well over 6 weeks until winter equinox.
