Out of the three eggs I set, two were fertile; they are going into lockdown today. I slightly wasn't expecting for them to hatch, so the fact they've gotten this far makes me think I might have to pull out a brooder. :hide
I use liquid bandage. I think out of all the cracked eggs I've set, I have about a 50% average hatch rate, which I'd say is quite decent, since these eggs are all or almost all shipped.
Brinsea Ovascope, if I remember correctly. I like it; it's portable, decently bright, and works for even small eggs like quail, which I hatch frequently.
Hey, more birds to select from helps ensure a stronger breeding program, right? Sounds like a good enough reason to set them... that is, if you have enough coop space.
