This is Gremlin. Grem is the sweetest little chicken! Loves to cuddle. We live in city limits and won't be able to keep Grem if they are a roo. We already have others we have to rehome. :(
What are your thoughts on Grem, Pullet, or Cockerel?
Hello! I picked up a dozen chicks from my feed store on the 9th. I imagine I will make a couple more posts like this because I don't remember all the kinds of chicks I got for sure and may need some identification help.
This chick was supposed to be a brahma but she appears to be a frizzle...
This little guy started crowing yesterday. He's approx 11 weeks old. There are some spots on his wings that are purple when the sun hits them, and his tail feathers have a pretty green gleam.
He's a sweet guy and loves to be held. Comes right up to me in the yard.

Update - 4 weeks old.
Lots of waddle and comb development and now I am seeing some faint brown and white coloring on their wings. I didnt think Black Australorps had any brown?
I separated her for 24hrs and put her back and she seems to have chilled out and I have not seen any more pecking. Will be keeping an eye extra cautious on her though!
Damn. :( She was in a mixed bantam group and we were told she was an Ameraucana when we got her. Are you suggesting we keep her alone? She freaks out when I separate her from the rest of the flock. :( Man I was hoping that since she was the smallest it would keep any feistiness in check.
I have a four(ish)-week-old mixed flock of 12 chicks.
I have 2 silkies, 1 old English bantam, 2 Brahmas, 1 buff Orpington, 1 Rhode island red, 1 barred rock, 1 australorp, 1 black sex link, 1 easter egger, and 1 speckled Sussex.
The smallest of our chicks, which we think is a Bantam old...
This little chicky, named Black the Raptor by my 4.5-year-old son, we have had for two weeks. I thought Black the Raptor was a female Australorp (that's what we were told) but I'm second guessing.
All the other chicks we got at the same time (different breeds) have tail feathers and are...
I got some bantams today that were in a mixed assortment.
I think these are two silkies and an Ameraucana, but I am totally completely new to chickens and that's my best guess.
Here they are, what are your thoughts?
Thanks!!
Heya! I have 2 Brahmas, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Rhode Island Red, and 1 Ausralorp. I would really like to get a silkie and a polish as well. <3
Hello!
I am looking for Silkies in Mendocino County, or possibly Sonoma County, even if someone knows a local breeder that would be great too.
Also interested in Polish bantam chicks.
Thanks!!!
