I only got maybe 2 days in, I had Tetra Vet in water, but she did not drink much, then gave her Tylan for 2 days about 1/2cc orally each day- I squirt it onto a small piece of bread then give her the bread. But I guess I need to give her more.
She was sick in September. But not this bad. And...
This is her poop. She has taken a few bites on her own today- but I have basically been forcing stuff down her- a few grapes, some wet food, egg, nutria drench, keefer... stopped the antibiotics. I am just unsure if I should put my glove on again and try to dig more yellow stuff out of her or it...
Ya, I have seen many lash eggs on web. But it is not really rubbery- more like sand. I also have some terra-vet 10. Is that a better choice? She has perked up since I got that stuff out of her. I have been giving her plain keefer.
Thanks
I have a very sick 3 year old barnyard mix. Swollen belly, thin. I brought her in 6 days ago and have been getting some food down her. Her vent was nasty and a very smelly yellow goo has been coming out of her along with clean and green/dark stuff. I wondered if she was egg bound and put on a...
Thank you for the reply. I am going to try to see a vet. My vet does not see chickens so I may try one that I drive past every day. But I really believe it is CP. Her crop does empty but not always fully and it is sometimes puffy. Undigested food bits are in the poop. She is very gassy when she...
I have a 3 year old girl who I think has CP. The pictures on the poop chart look just like hers. I have had her in the house for a few days and have been giving her Tetracycline H 10 in her water.
She is very very thin. She does not drink, so I add some of the medicated water to her food. She...
On thing I did one hot summer was to take a flying saucer (round snow sled) and place a frozen water jug in the middle (poke a few holes into it) Also add some water into the bottom. The jug melts slowly and keeps the water cold for quite a while. They can drink or stand in it. They loved it.
I have raised 1 hatch in the January. Hatched on a day it was 5 degrees out. Named the first one Cinco. She was sitting on her nest under a wall cabinet right in the coop. I just made sure she had extra shavings and hay- hung a small lite near her to give her a bit more warmth. When the babies...
When my chick was under the weather, I gave her some water with honey in it. Figured it would not hurt... it seemed to give her a bit of a boost and she started eating again and made a full recovery.
I have a girl who is very sick. Her abdomen is very swollen. I posted yesterday also. She has been in house and eats very little. Very puffed up. Her poops look like banana pudding with some normal waste mixed in. It is not really foamy, but just like pudding...
When I brought her in...
