Inkheart is good. Also if you enjoy these types of stories, try the Pit Dragon Trilogy. It is great also. Or Robert Asprin writes comedy fantasy. The Myth series. Those are pretty good too.

Race horses are not different than dogs or any other animal that is bred for specific traits. Take racing quarter horses, they have been so inbred in the past that they have small hooves and weak pasterns. This is now being bred out, thank gawd, but breeding is breeding. The pekingese is...
I have one I'm still working on. I'm on day 5 and the little guy is no better. I've tried the band aid thing twice. Both times he got them off. Once on day 2 and the other on day 3. He is still no better. He can hobble to the food and water. Should I leave him or dispatch him before he...
Is that Huey in your avatar. I assumed it was a Paso. My family raised and showed Paso's for years. They are absolutely the most wonderful horses I have ever owned.
I'll vouch for her birds. They are gorgeous and JJ is wonderful to work with. Anyone looking for some nice birds and a great person to work with should respond.
Try peroxide or 4 parts water to 1 part betadine. That should do the trick. I understand how nasty they look. If that doesn't work you will need to pick them out with tweasers. YUCK! Try the peroxide first. Most houses have that in the bathroom somewhere.
Good luck.

How cool is that! It looks like it just might work. At least he can get to his food and water. With all the love he receives there is no way he can't heal.
I was supposed to have pure ring neck pheansant from someone on eggbid. What hatched were a bunch of normal ones and 3 different. The different ones are blackish/brown. Two have white rings on their necks and white tips on their wings. The other is the same minus the neck ring. Any clue on...
I will read anything I can get my hands on. I love reading. It takes you to new worlds everytime you pick up a book. It is a great release from the grind of daily life.
My favorite author is anybody who writes Sci Fi or Fantasy.
We are in Idaho now, but my DH grew up in Munising. That is about an hour from Marquette. I loved it there, but I don't want to deal with all that snow year after year. I do miss Lake Superior though. If I ever win the Lotto I will have a beach house at Grand Marais and look for agates every...
It's not too bad of a mothers day. Visted with my mother. She is having surgery on Tuesday. We'll see how that goes.
Then DH called and asked if he could bring home 3 RIR's. Of course I said yes. Still working on the silkie thing.
Look forward to seeing you again.
Last week I went to vist Napalongtails (aka J.J.). What a great family. And boy does she have some beautiful longtails. The pheasant eggs I picked up were set on Friday and I'm hoping for a great hatch. Her pheasants were just beautiful. Visiting her property left me with many ideas to...
Good. I thought May 1st. It has been so trying around my home lately. I should take the "me" time and sew, but instead I go and take a hot bath and let all the days worries wash away.
I have seen turkey poults too. We were walking in the woods and they were all huddled in the grass. Sweetest things I ever saw. We didn't see the hen until we started down the trail more. Seeing things like this in nature is so much cooler than when it is in your yard.
Not too sure. My mother was just diagnosed with Colon Cancer after beating breast cancer 4 years ago. I want to do something special, but she is not the type to like to be pampered. What ever the boys and I decide to do for her will be special thought. My MIL lives next door. She is easy to...
Not to be depressing, but i have been working hard on finishing my blocks. I will finish this weekend no matter what. I got behind when my mother was diagnosed with cancer again. 4 years ago she beat breast cancer, but a week ago she was told she has colon cancer. Needless to say, I have...
