When we were in chickens a few years ago, we sold through Craigslist all the time. (Getting back into chickens in the next few months, can't wait!! I love to hatch!!) We wouldn't let people come after dark and my husband was always there with me when people came out. We never had any issues.
Welcome from another Florida native, Tampa native to be exact. I'm in Plant City, having fun raising chickens and now have begun breeding and incubating my own. I'm hooked!
I might be placing an order again for around that time frame. I'm receiving some chicks any time now (they have shipped out), so I'll need to look at my set up to be sure I can move them around within that time. If so, I order about 70 or so at a time, so I can add some on for you if you'd like.
I have a few Golden Laced Wyandotte roos for sale if anyone is interested. They've been vaccinated for Marek's and Coccidiosis. They're just over 5 months old and are $15 each, pick up only please. I'm in Plant City.
Cmom, here are my little ones. 17 out of 18 that went into lockdown hatched. I candled the last one and it developed, but I don't see any movement. I put him back in the incubator just in case.
We have a fox and that's enough for me, although a few neighbors have seen coyotes also. My boys and girls free range during the day, but are locked up tight at night.
