Would it be a fair assumption that you have visited Modesto Milling's website? They have all the distributors/retailers on there based on State and County. Might be worth a check - I'm sure it will give you the beast options. http://www.modestomilling.com/retailers.html
Cheers!
Jeremy,
Thanks for the message. Unfortunately, due to size Bantams wont work for us. But thank you!
Do you have any non-bantam fertile eggs for sale now or in the next few weeks?
Does anyone have a young rooster they are looking to part with? Our yoing rooster suddenly passed away last night and we have 8 hens who will be missing the male attention very soon.
Let me know please.
As far as I understand it, caponizing (or castration/testie removal) SHOULD makes them act, behave and grow more like a hen.
With that said, they still have the ability to crow. Keep an ear out and you will find out!
Hopefully this is of some use to you. I Just posted about this in another thread. Check it out - the Homemade Velcro collar works!!!! (So far!)

Greetings Bay Area BYCer's
Hows everyone doing.
Does anyone on here cultivate black soldier flies? I have loads of chicken manure and pet waste that I would like to compost/bio-convert. I am semi hesitant at ordering BSF larvae online as I don't know where they come from or if they are...
I have looked through tons of pictures and its hard to tell from the angles you provided but I think its some type of cabbage white caterpillar, possibly this Pieris brassicae caterpillar
Here is a helpful source for butterfly identification...
Very nice! I found a caterpillar in my yard a month or so ago and it was about to make a chrysalis. I didn't want my hens to find it and mame/kill/eat it so i brought it inside and put it in a container. Sure enough, it found a nice stick in its safe enclosure and made a chrysalis. I looked it...
Does anyone in the immediate Berkeley/Oakland/SF area have any young hens for sale: presently laying or will be soon? Since i lost a hen recently I need replacements. Would like 2 if anyone can help. Message me is you can.
Cheers!
