Wowsers you guys chat a lot it took me like 4 pages to catch up. (I have a lot of time on my hands) it’s getting dark here and misty too. The rain is making the mists come off the mountains, I rode Hudson again today. He was super jumpy and tried to gallop when I asked for canter, I got him back...
Haha yeah Daisy reminds me a lot of a hen I had (fox got her in the night by tearing the wire on the coop) her name was Dorothy, she was by far the smartest hen I have ever had. She knew when to hide and where to go when she had to hide. It just took her off the perch one night.
(I genuinely have no idea what that bush is but yes it scratches)
We let them free range usually but when I go out I tend to leave them in.
Daisy, Annie and Ash are my young pullets. The other 4 are all my adults. Savvy has an injured foot so she limps around at the moment but she is getting...

😁 Yes I find that my crosses are some of the funniest in the flock. The three younger ones run every time they see me but Alice is able to be handled (maybe it’s because we hatched here)
I realised I haven’t actually ever written about my hens.
I have:
Savannah (Savvy)-Sussex
Harry-no idea
Alice-pekin x silkie
Phoebe (pheebs) - Brahma
Ash- mix
Daisy- mix
Annie- mix (possibly part pekin)
You see, this is my exact problem. Hudson won’t stand still for me to remount. I need someone to hold the other stirrup down before I can get on. I didn’t get the chance to ride today because the NBN was being installed and they had machinery and didn’t finish till 5 and the sun was starting to...
i saw a fox yesterday at about 12:30pm I walked over to the fence and began shouting curses at it loud, my poor neighbours must think I’m totally nuts! It turned and looked at me so then before I went out I put my hens away
