I agree. It makes no sense except if someone want their chickens to lay right away.
Maybe they were confused instead of dishonest.

But it's something chicken keepers need to know. A week is a long time in a pullet's life.

I'll be making sure of the details next time.

It's cream coloured :) which makes it easy for me to tell whose egg is whose because everyone lays different coloured eggs.

There was a little blood on the shell, is that normal?

She was very proud of herself :love

So yesterday's was Peggy's after all.

Yey Ivy! :love Don’t know about the blood, could it have been a little bit of intestinal lining? That can look like blood.

I little blood is quite common with recent layers. It should stop quickly so keep an eye on her.
