Maybe they were confused instead of dishonest.

But it's something chicken keepers need to know. A week is a long time in a pullet's life.

It's cream coloured which makes it easy for me to tell whose egg is whose because everyone lays different coloured eggs.

Yey Ivy! Don’t know about the blood, could it have been a little bit of intestinal lining? That can look like blood.

I little blood is quite common with recent layers. It should stop quickly so keep an eye on her.
