@MattyBowman Yeah I was really worried about Yori when the vet found that. One of my old guinea pigs got bumblefoot years ago and I remember it being so obnoxious to treat. Thank goodness Yori's cleared up so easily, and she never seemed bothered by it at all.
Aw man awesome Red Ranger! I was...
@KDOGG331 lol no problem! (Vet tech mode, go!)
Yes technically reptiles can carry salmonella...but so can chickens, and guinea pigs, and a lot of other creatures. Every single animal can carry some disease or parasite that we humans can catch. Dogs carry all sorts of worms, as well as stuff like...
@KDOGG331 An appropriate setup for reptiles can get a bit pricey. It really depends on what species you're looking at because each one has very different and specific environmental needs. I've never owned geckos so I have no idea how much their setup costs. Cornsnakes do have more forgiving...
@KDOGG331 Yeah I had to wait until I left home to get Noodle. He was my first big purchase, the summer after my freshman year of college. Honestly looking back on things I should have waited a little longer before getting a snake (like, you know, get a steady job first...), but he's put up with...

@BlueBaby My idea of gardening is mostly 'throw plants in the ground and see if they live' which in my part of the South actually mostly works. I keep trying to remind myself to check into composting though, that's another minor reason I got the ladies!
@tn_artist Yup, exactly! I used to do cosplay back in the day but I'm more interested in historical costumes now. Or following the patterns for such clothing, at least. Pretty sure they didn't have iridescent lame back in the 1730's. :p
@Texas Kiki Oh, making costumes. For Halloween or otherwise. And wearing said costumes, for Halloween or otherwise. Mostly just Halloween for me nowadays, I don't have the time to do other events any more.
Sorry, I tend to ramble. I also like photos. Hope you guys do too.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my gals a bit over a year ago, but before then I was as good as new to chickens. I'd wanted chickens for a while, then I bought my own house and the rest is...
