Any experience taming rooster? He was wonderful- now goes after everyone! He is salmon- faverille...i LOVE him , such a good roo but now is possessive of flock
I dont wear a mask. Bible tells me only to cover my face if I am sick....if i am sick im probably not cleaning the coop. I do take precautions- i dont stir up dust and particles , i step away and take breaks... so far no problems ❤️🐔🙏🌷🥚🐣
Just got rid of mine. Not worth having to keep 1 eye on him at all times. The ladies come to me and i think he was jealous...his job is to protect....but not from me!!!
He went to new farm
I sold Mr Roo- 22mos old and getting aggressive, and Jr Roo 4 mos old. Both great Americauna roos. I hated to do it, but I couldnt even go in the pen he was so agro!
He will be happy at his new farm.
I treat my flock with liquid ivermectin. 1 ml per bird, on the back of the neck. 1x a week for a couple weeks. (Per utube SelfSufficientMe) that guy Mark saved my flock!!!
Clean out a coop completly and spay ur permythrn especially in crevices and where roost poles attatch. Added pic of chkn...
Wow! I give mine 16% layer pellets , fresh water, froz veg treats and soldier worms. Whenever I get addition to flock I treat with 1 ml liquid ivermectin on the back of neck (topical) takes care of any parasites.
Built my own coop and yard.
I have Hilines, Americauna, Barred Rock, Speckled Sussex
I gave them some frozen canteloupe rind today! They are my darlings!
Also give soldier worms for calcium.
