Hey Patty!
We give ours corn in the cold weather, though they usually won't touch it. Probably because they're not used to it.
Some of the higher-end breeders say you can mix in cat kibble, but what @Miss Lydia recommends is probably just as good if not better. The food she mentioned looks...
Quentin Crisp (born Denis Charles Pratt, 25 December 1908 – 21 November 1999) was an English writer and raconteur.
From a conventional suburban background Crisp grew up with feminine tendencies exemplified by his make-up and painted nails and work as a rent-boy. He then spent thirty years as a...
We have dogs that don't shed, but I have some cat hair I could contribute to the cause if either or both of you would like some. When we brush her or pick up hair, we always come up with what seems like enough to make a whole extra cat.
I'm constantly kicking myself for not thinking to get a pic of stuff. It wasn't even that I didn't have time to do it this time because they didn't leave until I shooed them back out the door. I was just like, "What the..." and didn't even think to get a pic. They were all brooded in the house...
I'm with you on the weather thing. I like moderate temps, and I've so much enjoyed recently being able to leave the sliding door open with just the screen door closed. I love the breeze through the house and love being able to hear the outdoor sounds. Scott started to go outside a couple of...
I'm so glad to hear that Josh is doing well, Patty, and also that Clyde is taking his med. That's so funny. Ducks don't like new things, but then they become a habit. Now you just need to wonder how Clyde is going to do when he doesn't get his special bread treat. LOL.
Please let us know how...
I'm so happy to hear that, Patty. I know what you mean about the hospitals. Scott was in UPenn a few years back when he was in an accident that caused spinal fractures. Being in that hospital was like trying to navigate a small unfamiliar city with nothing but one way streets while you're in the...
I'm so happy to hear that, Patty! Is he in a really big hospital? I hope he's expected to fully recover soon. It's so sad when children are really ill and you feel so helpless to do anything for them.
We've all missed you!!!
So happy to hear from you, Patty, and to hear that the little boy is better. He and your family will be in our prayers, for a quick recovery for him and for strength and comfort for you and all those who love him.
LOL, Patty. I'm glad you've found a way to keep Nugget from doing the world explorer thing, or at least the neighborhood explorer thing. You post some wonderful pics. That's why I wanted to draw you attention to the thinking thread.
Sounds like what I experienced isn't unusual. The ducks there never did act like that, though. They would come up wanting food but wouldn't try to attack you if you didn't have any. The geese never did seem to get full. Even if you did feed them, they'd try to bite you when you ran out of food...
There was a game farm where I grew up, and there were tons ducks and geese and swans on their lake. The ducks and geese were totally unafraid of humans because people fed them all the time. Some of the geese there would actually come up and bite you if you didn't have something for them to eat...
