Thank you Arielle for the wonderful hatching eggs! Of the eight that we purchased we have had 5 hatch into health little peepees! Sadly, we lost one to a clumsy mom and the other two look like they won't make it. five out of effectively seven is not bad at all!
Howdy all! I have a hen that has gone broody and I was thinking of getting some hatching eggs for her. First, any experts believe this may be a bad idea? If not, anyone in metro west selling hatching eggs? I prefer laying breeds but I'm not picky.
Thanks all!
Thanks for the info everyone. I was doing some research over the weekend and I do have an EE. She gives me an egg everyday so the color doesn't really matter. My wife was just a little sad to not have blue eggs :)
I did a search and was not able to find an answer. Actually it just confused me more. I have an Orpington and an Ameraucanas, the issue is I'm getting a brown egg and a tan egg everyday. Is there something wrong with my Ameraucanas?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks for the response!

Thank you everyone for your help!

My wife decided that she needed fresh eggs every morning, so I was going to get a few chickens. The problem is, I can't seem to find very much information from my town. I live in Marlborough, MA. Based on what I'm not finding I would have to say there are no laws on the books, for or against...
Hi everyone, new here and I have a few questions for my fellow Mass folks. I live in Marlborough, is anyone familiar with the laws there? We don't currently have any but my wife decided she wants to get a few hens for eggs. That leads to question two, where do I buy them? And at what stage...
So my wife had a farm fresh egg for the very first time the other day. Well, to make a long story short, we are now planning a coop. We are living in Marlborough, MA now, but we are originally from PA. I pretty much grew up on a farm but the whole suburban chicken raising is new to me. From...
