I ordered 20 chicks of different breeds thru the mail and I got 20 chicks, but was missing 2 buff polish. I got these instead. I'm not sure what they are, they are about 4 weeks old. Ithought maybe Columbia wynadettes, but the have a lot of black on them. Any thoughts? Thanks for looking! :)
Ok thanks! I have been comparing leg color and the ones with the white feathers are more pink. It's hard to tell. :) I ordered 20 chicks from a hatchery and I'm splitting the order with my niece. I'm new to chickens and didn't even think that we might not be able to tell them apart. Thanks...
Hi! I am having the same problem you did a few years ago. I got speckled sussex and welsummer too. Did the ones with the white wing feathers turn out to be SS? I suspect my two with the white wing feathers are my SS and I'm just trying to confirm it. Thanks for you help!
I think the light grey mystery chicks may be Columbia Wyandottes. Do you think that's a good possibility? Thanks for your help, I think I have the speckled sussex figured out. The with the white legs also have a white feather at the bottom of their wings.
