Hello I have a question! I thought that as long as the males are raised together you could keep them in the same enclosure with other females. I checked on mine yesterday to find a male dead. It looked like he had been attacked and I don't know why.
I went to check on my quail to find a male dead. It was obvious he was attacked. Most likely by another male. I was pretty sure that as long as the males were raised together they wouldn't fight? Is that not true?
My parakeet just laid 3 eggs...... She hasn't been sitting on them is this normal? I would like to maybe incubate them if she doesn't sit on them. I can't figure out how to incubate them though. Help
I've never dealt with this, but i might have some ideas.... You could try to get them also attached to maybe another duck or chicken, once they are attached maybe it'll be easier for you to slowly depart from them, yet still keep the bond? Sounds like a difficult situation. They make duck...
Well the reason i think it had down syndrom was because its eyes are low and close like down syndrom. It is way smaller than the others. It will also walk with its eyes closed most of the time
Well, it pretty much is acting like it's on drugs... Its eyes are not normal, but she is not blind, It'll zoom around the brooder barely able to walk normally. It just isn't acting like a normal chick
Something is very wrong with my quail chick. It just turned about 3 days old, and is nothing like the other chicks. Can quail have down syndrom or autism? It is not normal at all.
I have hatched a bunch of quail, some still hatching, but one, in particular, seems to have an eye problem. Its eyes look nothing like the rest. It had cripple foot but I was able to fix that. How would i be able to tell if it is blind? Is there any way to help it?
He has a good 4 ft by 4 ft area, plenty of space. I noticed the plucking on the back end of him around his butt. And another spot on the end of his neck, which is in perfect reach for him.
My male coturnix quail is plucking his feathers and I have NO clue why. He should not be under ANY stress. He has plenty of food and water, and lives with other quail... What would be the cause of this?? Its so sad to see him like this. Any ideas to make it stop?
Please help! My male coturnix quail is plucking his feathers. I have no clue why. There is no reason for him to be stressed out. He lives with other quail, and is well fed and has water. There should be no reason for him to be doing this.
Hello! I am currently trying to breed my parakeets, and my female has been in and out of the nesting box for about 3 weeks. Does anyone know how long it will be until they actually mate? I know that this is mainly for chickens and stuff, but let me know if you know!
Hi me again for the third time lol I figured out how it works with the celadon egg gene in quail. If you hatch quail from a celadon egg and want those quail that u hatched from that egg to lay celadon eggs, you will need a male that also hatched from a celadon egg to mate with the female from...
ok so I didn't even know that was a thing.... I just googled it, and from my understanding, it is either a deformed egg with no shell or an egg with multi colors in it?
