I just hatched a bunch (14) of white Breese Chicks. I'm new to the breed, but d cited to have them on the homestead. Still 6 eggs in the baitor, but who knows. I got better that a 50% hatch rate on shipped hatching eggs so I am happy.
Well.. I guess I lucked out. This little guy has seemed to of made it. You see, when I got him out of the shell, I could see the yolk had not been completely absorbed. Also the Shell half was kind of attached to the some of the membranes and such. What I did was lay the chick down with the stuff...
Well I did, and I wish I wouldnt of. It might die, its yolk wasn't all the way absorbed. I think for now on I will let mother nature decide who lives or not. I feel kinda bad now. Thanks for your time. Tom

Nodda. well I dropped the humidity to 30% by cracking the bator. Temps able to maintain 93.2f. I wonder if I drop the temps to like 89-85ish would it slow down the hatch and allow the water to evaporate in a extra few days, or will the cooling off shock the eggs and kill the chicks?
