The scab is just the umbilical cord... your baby is gonna be just fine 🙂 it should fall off within a soy or two, whatever you do do NOT pull it off. You could seriously hurt the baby if you do!

Hello, today I bought 6 Wyandotte’s from a farm feed store. I noticed that 5 of the six had feathers on their feet... I’ve had Wyandotte’s before and none of them have the Cochin-like feathers. Are they really Wyandotte’s? Or are they just a cross breed? (I’ll post pictures in a bit)
I have chicks living in the coop with them and rather than separating them I just put the heaters in to keep them warm! The heat source is just a precaution for the chicks to make sure they are warm enough for winter!
I bought 3 australorpe chicks from tractor supply (which is why I think i might have gotten a jersey giant) and they’ve grown up to be healthy beautiful birds. But I’ve noticed that one of the three is about 2x or maybe even 3x as large as the others. Is she a jersey giant, or just a big girl?
Thank you all for helping me with this problem. She is very lethargic and I do not think she will survive. I was considering culling her but I do not know how I would go about doing so. If there is any way she could survive then I will not do so. Once again, thank you all for everything!
The vomit had a putrid smell to it, kind of like the smell of rotting vegetables... her crop wasn’t full this morning and she is separated from the flock with a water container but no food. She hasn’t drank anything and is just standing in the corner of the coop panting
