We have an egg that hasnt hatched yet. It was layed on the 5th. its heavy, positive candling and under a very broody hen. What should I do? This is our first fertilized egg.- zstewart123

segregation
I don't know why, but my flock is segregated by species. I have 3 Barred Rocks, 2 Buff Orph's, 2 RIR's, and 1 speckled Sussex. Can pickled eggs be left on the counter indefinitely?
The pink color is from saltpeter. it also turns red hot dogs red. BTW, as gross as red hot dogs look, they sure are good! Does anyone have a good pickled egg recipe?- zstewart123

Can I feed strawberries to my chickens?
I feed my chickens the strawberry tops after I cut them to freeze. I gave them watermelon yesterday for the first time. Usually whenever I put treats they fight each other over them.
