    Dog with UTI?

Oh, he also said she has lost vision in the injured eye, but I don't think so, because she squints it in the sun. But who knows.

    Dog with UTI?

The vet says there is some type of long tubular bacteria in her urine. He didn't know what it was so they sent it off to the lab to be identified. $$$

    Dog with UTI?

PS: She eats high-quality grain free senior dog food, and drinks TONS of water. But I read that dogs need more water as they age so I wasn't worried about that. I had a Rat Terrier/Italian greyhound cross that lived until 17 & 1/2years (& 2 days). He passed last year.

    Dog with UTI?

Ok I made her an appointment at my regular vet for tomorrow. She used to go to a vet that does horses & pets, but sadly he felt the need to commit suicide a few years ago. I don't like the lady that took over, she didn't do a good job on my doberma's prior surgery. She has had recurring staph...

    Dog with UTI?

Ok I can understand that. We got her from a kill shelter when she was 4 years old; she was an owner surrender. They had turned over a male & female, & then came back to get the male. She was 20 lbs under weight, had tick fever, and was covered with hundreds of ticks. We took her to the vet &...

    Dog with UTI?

Yeah, she doesn't seem to be in pain, she even rough-houses with my standard poodle pup... but she could be hiding it. I take her out around midnight and she goes, but then has an accident before 6 a.m.

    Dog with UTI?

Yeah, I get them too, Doc says he thinks my nerves in my kidneys are damaged, because I usually don't go to the doc until the pains interrupts my sleep & by then is really bad. Lately my kidneys hurt for no reason, they can't find anything wrong, so I just lay off the ibuprofen. She has been...

    Dog with UTI?

I know this site is primarily for foul, but you have always given me a lot of help! Recently my Doberman turned 10 and we let my motherinlaw watch her for a few days when we had to attent a funeral out of state. When we got back her eye was very red & I took her to the vet. Well $280 dollars...

    Dog Attack :(

Just wanted to give you a final update. Red's skin has almost completely regrown. He has a fresh layor of silky feathers covering the area, and he's grown strong again. He still hasn't taken his place back away the top of the flock, but he and the other rooster seem to co-rule at the moment...

    Dog Attack :(

Just an update, Red continues to do better each day. We still can’t let him out with the other chickens yet, because KFC (the smaller rooster) continues to attack him. Sadly the hen we lost wasn’t only our last Soeckled Sussex, she was the top hen. So with the top rooster & hen gone, the flock...

    Dog Attack :(

He got his bandages off AGAIN last night, so I have left them off for now. He must really not want them anymore. I will continue with the wound spray & keep an eye on it. You guys are the best! Your advice was invaluable. :love

    Dog Attack :(

Update, Red got the bandages off & pulled off all the dead skin... lots of it, but he must know what he's doing, because it looks better. We took pics & re-bandaged.

    Dog Attack :(

Hi all... I forgot to take pictures at this past bandage change, I will get some next time. There is new skin growing & a lot of feathers. He was pecking off the old skin & eating it... gross!!! But I guess God gave them knowledge I don't have, lol. He's still not well enough to be with the...

    Dog Attack :(

Hi, Red is doing very well. We changed his bandages today. It still looks awful, but there is no smell & he has new skin growing. I'm very happy, plus he has been eating a lot... we have been giving him a healthy variety of foods :D

    Dog Attack :(

I'm giving him penicillin with very small syringes. We will get some more Speckled Sussex pullets this spring. My daughters will heal their feelings
