A two year old who has been doing a bit of molting layed this today.
She seems fine, eating and drinking.
the mass was rubbery on the outside, had a thin shell inside. And thick rubbery pale parts.
Should I be concerned???
She is breathing ok. Ate a scrambled egg. Drank a little bit of water. She is quiet but not struggling.....
I will give her extra love, I won't let her suffer.

The shells came off perfectly!!!! I did not put them in an ice bath, briefly ran cool water over them so I could handle them.
I used my instant pot for the steam setting. Which is 15 min.
I also did some in a pot with a steaming basket! For 12 min.

UPDATE!!
I kept her separate over night. She roosted. Then this am got up drank and ate a little..then got in nest box. Took awhile but she layed an hard shelled egg. She is now up and hanging out the the others.
Feeling relieved but will keep an eye on her today.

Nice coop! I use heavy clear shower curtains, I put cup hooks along the top of the coop to match the grommet holes. I can overlap them if needed. Or only partially cover to keep out wind rain or snow.
This keeps them warm and dry, let's the light in, and be be easily removed. I have done this...
I have 6 new layers. They are 20weeks old.
Today all 6 layed eggs in the nest boxes in the morning. Later that day in the afternoon when the were out in the yard...I found a soft shelled egg in the grass.
