    Hello, We just got this baby yesterday and noticed her eye doesn't seem right. I read that chickens can get pink eye, but it doesn't seem to be oozing or crusty so it makes me think it may be scratched. What do you think? I put a pic of both eyes on here.

    My hen went Broody we opted to get her incubated eggs and she hatched them. Now it was about 7 weeks she was Broody until the eggs hatched.     Ok thanks this is good! So technically the friend that is starting her flock could take all 6 and she should be ok? I'm sorry I'm new to this! She's being a great mama but we only had her hatch chicks so she would get out of the box!!!

    We are thinking about letting her keep two to raise for the 6-10 week period then letting then go with the rest. Do you think that will be enough to break her broodiness? We aren't keeping any of the new chicks.
