    question about chicks hatching ?

    I hatched chick eggs for the first time about a mo. ago. twhen they zipped out there was a lot of blood. I wound up with 8 out of 15 2 I had to cull. what causes the blood ? do they all do that there was so much that when they pipped and tore the membrane I was sure they were going to drown in it.

    My chicks are hatching. the first two were fine. Well ones legs are spread completely out and can't really walk do you know why ?     Hatching day the 5th !!

    It all depends on what line of bator you have. But I would assume that all bator's would let them be removed so you could clean them every time. Do you have a book that it came with to look at ? If not I bet you could pull it up on line ! Best of luck mine are due the 4th.
