Thank you Amiga...I can do the tea...I had him wrapped in an Epsom salt poltice.....also feeding him some chickweed for pain...the vet is gonna be tough...dh says absolutely not...and that really sucks -

I have a pekin duck with a swollen hock. I noticed about a month ago he was struggling to walk so I checked him out and his left hock was swollen and hot. I checked for bumblefoot and found nothing. Now his foot is swollen as well so i tried to aspirate his joint and got quite a bit of blood... -

been awhile since i was on here.... lots to catch up on! my calls took to flying laps around the house... 400 ft or so up in the air....scared me so i clipped wings this am.... now i am getting the stink eye when they look at me... poor guys... i guess if i could fly i'd only come down when... -

3 ducks, and 5 drakes got along fine for over a year...now the boys are beating each other bloody and my poor ducks were getting bred to death...i really don't want anymore cayugas and if im like you...noone wants them, they are too old to eat and i doubt if i could kill them anyways....and... -

yep.... in the 90's here..... so hot it will take your breath, today was cool and nice tho....hopefully we will get some rain soon! my gardens look crappy! -

omg! hes trying to breed them! and hes after the khaki one in particular...i had to pull him off her yesterday! they are only about 12 weeks old...she was freaked too...i'm sure this is normal but wow....seems like they are so young for that sort of thing! -

ok, so FINALLY they are getting in the water! my little drake is better about nipping but still nips some.... its my big drake that gives them problems.... i keep the water hose out and spray him in the face when he comes close. i can't tell if hes trying to beat them or breed them... either... -

i didn't mist mine....turned them end over end 3x a day, kept humidity around 55 and temp at about 100 but i used a still air incubator.... i also moved them all around the bator so no one was in a hot or cold spot all the time.... good luck! its stressful for the next 26 days, but sooooo worth it! -

i am at a total loss on what to do.... my babies are afraid of water!.... i can't get them in it for anything....hubby suggests for me to go in first....that is a last resort since its a creek....but they wont get in the kiddie pool either!... stand on tiptoe to get drinks...looks like i'm goin... -
