WOW!! He's beautiful!
I've finally determined that my mallard Carl is indeed a Carl (and not a Carla). He's got a drake feather starting, a green tinge to his head, and he's got the raspy quack. Can't wait to see his feathers change too.

Hello. My name is Todd, and I'm a duckaholic.
I've wanted ducks for a long time. And, I finally talked my wife into it. But she said, "Only two." I bought six from TSC (because of there minimum rule) with the intention of only keeping two. So, I sold four and kept a mallard and a black...
AWSOME
But, that's a lot of ducks to manage. I wish them the best of luck. Some how he has to keep them from flying back to the city. Lot's of wings to keep clipped

Many thanks for posting all the detailed pictures. They've inspired some ideas I have for the new coop I have to build.
Also, your workmanship is superb. Well done

I just finished fencing in my run today. Over the top I just put up the plastic fencing. It's pretty cheap and it'll keep the hawks and such from getting in. I also plan on putting up some streamer type stuff to scare the hawks that much more.

Yes, no medicated feed for ducklings. If you have a Tractor Supply store nearby you can find un-medicated chick starter there. It can be given to ducklings and chicks.
Also, I would suggest against brooding them together. Ducks are MESSY. They get everything wet, and they poop A LOT. Your...
I have the opposite problem. My ducklings chase the chicks and try to grab their tail feathers. So, yeah... now everyone has their own space in the run. Silly featherbutts
