    No, I was still working on the roof and door. But, I did finally finish my $40.00 dog house coop which ended up costing quite a bit. I'm trying to teach my grandkids country living including gardening, and cooking from scratch. So, the colors I chose were for them.

    I would rototill it up, then lay down course sand....That's what I did years ago. It's a proven back/time saver.

    HELP!! Need chicken-safe slug deterrent!

    If you take chunks of watermelon rind, place it in your garden turned upside down. In the morning the slugs will be gathered under them. Then just remove them. It's easy and best of all it's natural.

    I made 30 minute mozarella today.....Very easy recipe.....Very good cheese....This recipe is from Mother Earth News. 1. Mix citric acid into gallon of whole milk (make sure it's not ultra pasteurized or it doesn't work) 2. Heat until warm 3. Add rennet 4. Stir and heat until 100 degrees or so...
