My buff brahma who is not quite at laying age just had this mysterious bump appear . No symptoms she's inside now away from the rest.
I do have Guineas whose been randomly attacking certain chickens while free ranging. So its possibly an injury. I mean could be a tumor but I figured its a bit...
She hasn't passed another egg yet.
Just the 2 shell less ones. From the last 2 days.
The diarrhea has stopped it was explosive now it's not.
I will continue vitamins and rest thank you. 😊
I see no breaks..
She was last laying an egg in the coop then just couldn't get up.
She can stand ok with support. She can flap her wings. Just lays back down with legs backward although after giving vitamin b's her legs are going back under her and toes only a little curled now.
Not thin.
Yes we have 1
She passed another shell less egg yesterday. No egg yet today diarrhea is slowing down. Her legs are kicking more but she can't stand yet.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to figure out what to do for my goose. She's a pilgrim goose (at least that's what we was told when we bought her) 3 years old was laying in the coop 2 days ago when she suddenly couldn't stand up.
Her legs are kicked backwards (but she can kick them on her own just...
Just keep watch for infection and might have to soften the food for her for a bit. Hard food might be causing more pain. And yes there's pain relievers you can use.

Sounds a bit respiratory have you tried endrofloxcin or baytril for the gurgling? Or some vetrx?
As for diahrrea that could be due to respiratory as well I had 1 that got sick took a week to get over she had diahrrea and was a bit dehydrated used Sav a chick in water or pedialtye.
This...
It's very hard I won't lie.
But I wanted to be a vet for many years and I couldn't deal with my phobia of snakes and learned I couldn't turn away a sick snake if I did become a vet.
So when
We got chickens I was able to be a birdie vet basically use my skills to the best of my ability without...
Super cute I love my silkies.
Our silkie roo is like a baby Yoda he has all kinds of flips lol and that dance I swear it's too cute when they do it vs a bigger chicken breed.
Corid can be given to all the chicks because if 1 gets it usally all do if it is that and corid is given to for prevention to. Coccidiosis is a flock thing no need to isolate if that's what it is. Just maybe watch the chick isn't trampled if it's not moving good...
also if the electrolytes aren't helping enough and you need to do the corid here is the dosage.

It's possible she was bullied out. And also coccidiosis can be a silent killer. Mostly you see blood in poop but sometimes when their young you may not see it. They will stop eating and drinking and become Lethargic. Corid is a chicken medicine I recommend for all.
