Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what to do for my goose. She's a pilgrim goose (at least that's what we was told when we bought her) 3 years old was laying in the coop 2 days ago when she suddenly couldn't stand up.

Her legs are kicked backwards (but she can kick them on her own just not stand or walk.) They toes look little curled in but not much.

I suspected Nincin def ...

It's been 2 days and she seems to be having less diarrhea. (Its explosive and green, white mucus like) She passed the shell less egg yesterday.

She also ate pea s and grass. When I 1st encountered her her poop was runny clearing white and mucus like.

So I have her on vitamin Bs Nincin I gave her a crushed tums for calcium.

When i put her in for a swim incase egg bound?? ( otherwise I have her dry in a dark room for recovery less stress on her.) she just floats along. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We don't have any farm vets near us, and the regular vet just trys to help when she can.

Have you checked for breaks? Can she stand if you hold her up and support her? She may have gotten injured during mating.

I see no breaks..
She was last laying an egg in the coop then just couldn't get up.

She can stand ok with support. She can flap her wings. Just lays back down with legs backward although after giving vitamin b's her legs are going back under her and toes only a little curled now.

Sometimes large eggs can push on the nerves running to the legs. About all you can do is try vitamins, and rest. Hopefully she will improve.

She hasn't passed another egg yet.
Just the 2 shell less ones. From the last 2 days.
The diarrhea has stopped it was explosive now it's not.

I will continue vitamins and rest thank you. 😊
