    I’ve found that mice and rats really really love chick starter. Might put some by or on your traps. I don’t use sticky traps so not sure on those.

    I’ve probably done the immunity thing automatically. I always give the chicks in the brooder a dirt bath from compost pile.

    No I’ve got other issues taking center stage unfortunately. On top of that feed cost have begun to be an issue also. The last 2 times in the pellets I usually get have been back ordered.

    The breed is calm compared to the others I have. When going into coop they don’t run. Other breeds bolt like lightning

    And when you get everything figured out, the deer and squirrels and raccoons come in for the feast. Fencing is a must both for both chickens and gardens. I just started seeds yesterday. Heat mats and lights. We can have a freeze in April.

    The heat here is bad as well. I’m thinking sunshade material on the more sensitive varieties. Some things like berries get burned before getting ripe. Also going to try and get plants planted earlier this year. That gets tricky with the late freeze. I don’t know about heat tolerant plants. I do...
