It looks like one might be pale. Some have lost the black spots or are fading. How about molting would that cause it?

Their combs are a nice, deep, red. So if the cause was mites I think their combs would be pale? I'm going to catch them up and look closer tomorrow. In the meantime I ordered some Chia & Flax seeds for treats, can't hurt.

this makes sense. my leghorns got pale legs and they are laying machines.

The paling comes from loss of yellow pigmentation that goes into the making of yellow yokes.

I was also thinking of laying as an answer to losing color. I’ve heard it before. Age maybe as well.

I finally ordered pita pinta chicks the only person in greece that has this breed is going to hatch some. I guess in about 2 months I will get them. I want 1 boy and 2 girls to start with.
