Okay, I have two Belgian d’uccles and a frizzle. I believe they’re all roosters but would like some confirmation before I rehome them since I’ve got it wrong before. They’re all crowing, though the brown one is the only one who does it all day. The Belgian duccles are 3 months and the frizzle is...
I’ve been expecting one of my chicks to pass for a couple days now, but it keeps pulling through. I’m heartbroken and not sure what to do. It’s obviously a fighter but I’m worried it has Coryza or something similar, endangering my older birds (it is separated from the flock) or being a carrier...
Hi there, just wanted to confirm if this is scaly leg mites or just a silkie x thing?
If it is, I know I should coat the legs in Vaseline, but how do I prevent the chook from pecking at it, messing it up or getting it dirty?
Is this some sort of baby crow? It’s a bit early, so I’m worried it’s something else. Judging by the comb size and colour, it’s definitely a boy. The breed is Belgian duccle.
Update: They’ve been super lively, still eating and drinking, hopping around, very chirpy. Pops are looking very normal now, however I will continue monitoring them closely and treating them for cocci.
I have their water in the smallest little dish because they’re tiny and would definitely drown if I made it any bigger, so I’ve had to guesstimate, as bad as it sound, and am using the smallest pinch of the stuff.
I have ! I can’t see anything wrong with the vents, not any swelling that I can tell, and I’ve just been giving them chick starter from the feed store, which I’ve used for chicks for ages.
Purchased two babies yesterday and I woke up this morning and at least one of them is pooping blood. I’m going to try to treat them for cocci and put nutrients in their water, is there anything else I should do? What could be the reason for this?
Ah, thank you. I’ve got a little one now who is a lot similar in nature, sweet and shy and she and all my others are doing very well. Thank you for the support.
I tried treating them for worms maybe two months ago though I’m not sure how successful it was. I can’t find Corid locally in my area so I’m treating them with this. I’m fairly sure at the one who has it and she’s behaving per usual.
Just found this in the coop this morning. Been seeing bits and pieces of it in some poop, but was told it was nothing to worry about. Can someone tell me is this this the blood in the poop I’ve been warned about or just another chicken thing? And of it is, how should I treat it?
