If the egg is larger than normal or its one of her first eggs she will tend to bleed. She will be fine i get double yolkers and big ones all the time with blood on them.
one of my roos had a cut on his comb he would hold his head near the ground. When i started using that he pepped up took twwo weeks steady of blukote but it healed him up
Its a shame how people buy them when they are young and cute and then when they get old just dont take care of them i hate seeing that. Well atleast shes being taken care of now.
Im in southern pa, we just got 3 feet of snow and its like 26 degrees, i have a light on a timer for 16 hours of light, i feed them dumor layer crumbles and some grains, they are rhode island reds not even a year,
I have 30 RIR hens and a roo and some banties i havent had an egg in over three months. Ive been giving them the same feed fresh water. Can someone tell me why this is. They dont have diarrhea or sneezing. They were paying for the feed through eggs but now im not getting any eggs to sell.
Nevermind I lost him:( me and him were close buds lol, I miss him all ready I enjoyed going to the coop and he would run over jump on me. Idk how his comb started bleeding it happened over night sometime. I'll miss my little hootie bird. Why do the ones were most attached to go first?
