I have 30 RIR hens and a roo and some banties i havent had an egg in over three months. Ive been giving them the same feed fresh water. Can someone tell me why this is. They dont have diarrhea or sneezing. They were paying for the feed through eggs but now im not getting any eggs to sell.

Do they have enough light? How old are they? You might try increasing their day lenghth as well as boosting their protein for a while and see if that helps.

Maybe their on strike!

Sounds like you are giving them a nice winter vacation! Seriously though... There are so many awesome members here full of knowledge. THe more info you give them the more accurate your anwser will be

Things that might help....

Location
hrs of light per day
Breed
age
coop temp/ outdoor temp?

The more info you give the more accurate the anwser will be

If you live in Alaska , its dark with a standard breed flock consisting of 4 year old hens and its -30 degrees the anwser will be completely different then if you are in Texas with 12-14 hrs of light a day and the flock consists of power eggers like red stars that are a year old and its 70 degrees ya know

Im in southern pa, we just got 3 feet of snow and its like 26 degrees, i have a light on a timer for 16 hours of light, i feed them dumor layer crumbles and some grains, they are rhode island reds not even a year,

Try boosting the protien in their diet by offering them some gamebird feed mixed in with their crumbles.

Have they been on lights all winter or is that something recent? They should be getting more than enough enough protein on the layer feed alone, since they'll be eating more with the cold weather. Try cutting out the extra grains. If it wasn't a lack of light that caused it, then the cold weather could have put them off lay.
