Of my 4 sexed day old chicks one is definitely a little cockerel.
They will be 9 weeks old tomorrow.
Here he is last night.
He thought he could roost for the first time. His Mom disagreed and called him back into her brooder box for the night.
Poor Tassels. Her Littles will be 9 weeks on Monday and they are getting to be quite a handful.
Bed time this evening was quite an event, not helped by me dropping an egg on the floor as I tried to retrieve it.
Here is how it played out.
Mr. Chips: Look Mom! Look. Over here. I am a big boy...
This did come up in the feedback thread but I am not sure enough people had tried it yet to see how it looked. Apparently if it has video it also shows the video.

Esme sounds like she is muttering to herself.
"This nest is a disgrace. I am going to have to spend all day putting each piece of straw back where it belongs. I really wish other people/hens wouldn't mess with my space. They always leave a mess. Do...

He will take blueberries from my hand - but I am convinced he would snatch a blueberry from a fox if such an opportunity arose. He is very fast when it comes to blueberries.
He...
Family breakfast butts wishing you a happy Friday.
Silly Cookie is always walking over the food bowl.
I have had to move to two bowls of mash as there isn’t room for 9 chickens around one bowl. How did I get to having 9 chickens. That is insane!
I can’t seem to get a good picture but Mr. Chips is developing bright green feathers in his tail and some around his shoulders.
They are much brighter green than these picture show.
I am still getting my mind around the whole rooster thing, but there is no denying he is a good looking fella.
