Thanks so much for your response. I do give him butter,yoghurt from time to time. Scrambled eggz especially the yolk and now giving them Verm-X feed.
I am also giving him ,johnson poultry tonic.
I tried looking for mites,but could not find it.
A month ago ,i gave him bath in epsom salt

What happens if a hen is broody for long?
I removed her own fertile eggs , however another hen goes and gives egg, in her cabinet ,and then the broody sit on them.
Im a single person, cannot manage so many chickens on my own !!
I don't know what to do. Out of 4 eggs in the incubator two hatched and i immediately put the remaining two under the broody hen. Unfortunately it didn't hatched.
Now,shall i break her broodiness? Or put another hen eggs under her
She became broody just on three eggs.
However she was behaving like one from few weeks , walking around puffed up. Shouting if someone entered the coop etc
Today is day 21 for eggs and my hen is broody from 3 days shall i put those eggs under her.?
I dont want to take the risk for two eggs which is from my favourite hen who is no longer with us.

Its an urgent situation. Since several weeks one of my.hen was getting puffy like puffer fish if any rooster comes near or behaving touch me not types.
I realise that this is a precursor behaviour of being broody.
Now she is broody since yesterday,and i am already incubating the eggs...
