All 5 of my ducklings hatched. The last one is worrying. He was an assist hatch and i’m worried he having trouble. He’s in the incubator but he keeps flipping over.
The duck pipped about 32 hours ago. It has made progress. I change what I’ve said. It looks like a big pip. I don’t think it’s zipping. The membrane looks white. And I was just worried they shrink wrapped after I added water.
32nd day. I have a question. From what I can tell one of my eggs started to zip this morning but hasn’t made any progress. Do I need to help it? The zip is almost the size of the top half of the egg.
I’m going to give them like 12 hours. I didn’t know if they were pipping it was a kinda stressful situation. Hopefully me moving the eggs motivates them to hatch.
The ducklings are very active inside the egg. I’m just worried they don’t have oxygen or I shrink wrapped them. I don’t think they internally pipped yet but I could very much be wrong. I could feel the chick move inside the egg when I held it.
Please respond ASAP. It’s day 30 of duck eggs. No hatches no pip. I just picked some of my eggs up and they were make noises and they’re heart was beating fast and I candeled them. I thought They died but I was very wrong. I thought about making a safety hole but I just put them back. Did I just...
I needed to add water to my incubator and I candeled my duck eggs (day 29) and I didn’t pick up the eggs just shined a light on them. Some of the eggs had an internal pip and I’m worried I just shrink wrapped them. I opened the incubator for about 10 seconds. Did I just shrink wrap them? I’m...
My Welsh Harlequin duck Charlotte went broody and tried to hatch eggs. She sat the whole 28 day period and no hatches. So I took her eggs, through them away and messed up her nest so she could take a break. She didn’t lay for about 2 weeks but then she did. Then I collected her fertile eggs and...
As of posting this it is the night of day 6. I have decided to mist and cool my eggs starting on day 10. I’m going to do this because I usually have air sac problems. So my questions are: How long do I cool them for? What temp of water? Light mist or more of a spray? What should the eggs feel...
I am beginning to collect duck eggs for a 10-12 egg hatch. Manual turning with my Janeol 12 incubator. So far I have one egg and I only get one per day with my one WH female and my one WH male(Yes I know having a pair is bad that is why I’m going to incubate more). I have the egg in a carton...
