Once hatched they are perfectly fine. And I'm finding 90% of the time it's the CLB roosters not pullets that need help. All our chicks that were incubated with them hatched with no issues! Our breeders are healthy. It's just weird!
Does anyone else find cream legbar's harder to hatch? All of our other chicks hatch themselves just fine but it seems like our cream legbar chicks really struggle to hatch. I usually have to assist them or else they either drown or shrinkwrap. It almost seems like they require less humidity...
There's got to be something wrong with our CLBs We just hatched 7 more and NONE have the dot on their head. They range in color but at least all have the chipmunk pattern. I don't get it.
Idk. Could we have different lines of CLB? I know we didn't have any mix ups. We are only breeding CLB right now and they are kept separate from all other chickens
I read most of that post. That one turned out to be a pullet. I just contacted the breeder we got ours from and she said 3 girls and 1 roo. She said all her roos always have the white dot on the head and has hatched plenty of pullets that look like my mystery chicks. I guess time will tell.
Hey guys! This is an autosexing breed but I'm still confused. I clearly have a pullet and a roo but not sure about the other two. The pullet has the dark eye markings and chipmunk pattern and the roo has the white dot on his head. The other 2 are reddish with no dot on their head. I thought they...
No we watched it closely. Especially the last 3 days. Trying to figure out if it's happening in the incubator or after we move them to the hatcher the last 3 days...
They are different chicks 7 different ones total. The last one we didn't fully open. Just hoping someone had some advice why this all of a sudden started happening.
